5 Characteristics of a Successful Christian Woman

Here I will share with you 5 characteristics that are important attributes of a successful Christian woman. These are necessary in order to move forward in the plan that God has for your life. In addition, you will learn why you need a kingdom mindset to truly be a successful Christian.

In general, Christians have varying definitions of success. When asked ‘what does success mean to you?’, there would most likely be fifty different answers.

To most Chrsitians success would look like ‘having it all together’ or being prosperous financially, or never having any problems. Howbeit, these things are just superficial perceptions.

Jesus never said we would never have problems, but that through His power we would overcome them.

Take a look and see if you can relate to these five characteristics as a successful woman of God.

5 Characteristics of A Successful Christian Woman

  1. She Has A Kingdom Mindset

What does it mean to have a kingdom mindset? I’m glad you asked.

So many Christians are content to just continually go through the motions of what they perceive being a Christian should be.  In general, many think that to be a successful Christian you need to be in ministry.

Thankfully, more and more, the focus is on the marketplace and the seven areas of influence Christians are meant to operate in. We are learning that in the kingdom our work or business is our ministry!

Jesus’ teachings clearly focus on the kingdom of God and how it is meant to operate.

In effect, to operate in this kingdom, you need to let go of the ideas and values of this world system.

For example, in this world people tend to hoard and focus on their retirement savings as a plan for their future. Although there is nothing wrong with saving for retirement, you cannot afford to totally rely on it.

As a matter of fact, the world system is going to crash one day soon. This means you need to begin depending on God for His provision and His way of doing things.

In this instance, His way would be to sow a seed, water it with the Word of God, and worship Him in thankfulness expecting a harvest.

Your intent should be on furthering the kingdom of God and His purposes, and not just your own personal success. Similary, your heart should be to share the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to as many people as possible.

Where does your security lie?

In your job, your savings, or do you rely on God to show you the plan he has for your future?

  1. She Has A Servant Heart

A successful Christian woman realizes that God’s kingdom is based on relationship. You are not here just for yourself. Jesus displayed the true heart of a servant to His disciples in John 13:12-16 where He washes the disciples’ feet.

When we are giving and serving, we become more like Jesus.

It must be remembered that we should not think of ourselves more highly than we ought to, but always preferring others to ourselves. There is so much more joy in giving than receiving.

In serving others, aim to provide value, especially if you are in business. God has given each of us gifts and talents to use in serving others.

In what ways can you be of service to others in your community and in the marketplace?

Make a list and step out and you will surely see the rewards manifest in your life.

  1. She Is A Lifelong Learner

Many Christians think that when we get to heaven, we will be sitting on a cloud playing a harp and resting for eternity. Nothing could be further from the truth. You will continue to learn and use your gifts in heaven. God has so much for you that you could not possibly imagine.

It is important to realize that being a lifelong learner helps to keep your brain healthy and sharp.

Moreover, it gives you more confidence and ability to handle life, and also helps with your personal growth and maturity.

With this in mind, you can see the necessary benefits of learning and applying what you have learned, especially where the Word of God is concerned. These benefits will begin to manifest in every area of your life.

  1. She Stands Up For Righteousness

In these days of turmoil, it takes a committed person to take a stand for what they believe in and not be afraid. In standing for the Truth you must back it up with heartfelt prayer. Certainly, you can be sure that God will go before you in any difficult circumstance you may encounter.

Become a bold Christian woman who prays and renews her mind daily with the Word of God and His precious promises. Then when the time comes to take a stand, you are ready and armed and will not compromise the truth of God’s Word.

A successful Christian woman knows that it is righteousness that exalts a nation.

  1. She Is Focused On Fulfilling Her Destiny

In fulfilling your destiny, you will find that God has specific assignments for you to accomplish along the way. This is where those gifts and talents are useful. God may, however, challenge you to step out in something that you have never experienced before.

Be sure that you are aligned with the assignment that God has placed upon your life, and the core values you choose to live by. This is the way we partner with God to help bring about His kingdom purposes in the earth.

As a Christian woman you have an advantage as you have the best partner anyone could ever have in the Holy Spirit, to help you accomplish your kingdom assignment.

There is a specific people group that God has ordained for you to serve.

Whether it be in the community or marketplace, or online, God has given you everything you need to become a successful Christian woman.

How to Develop A Kingdom Mindset As a Successful Christian

Part of Jesus’ assignment on earth was to teach about the kingdom of God. Much of His ministry was focused on helping people to develop a ‘kingdom mindset’. This was to train us in the ways of the kingdom of God, or God’s way of operating, which are so contrary to the ways of the world as we know it.

Of course, to develop this mindset, you must be continually reading and studying the Word of God. It is the foundation for Christian living, and Jesus’ will and testament to us of our new and better covenant.

Everything kingdom-minded people do is aimed at furthering the kingdom of God and glorifying our heavenly Father. When you are more interested in God’s plan than your own desires, then you are well on your way to becoming a kingdom-minded woman of God.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these things shall be added unto you.
